- First and foremost, do respect the staff members. I accept that we are people just like you and have no higher physical standing than anyone else, but as far as this site is concerned, it is us that keeps everything running smoothly. We are working for you. You should not only respect that but be grateful for it. So, there will be no cursing at the staff members and you should try and act courteous when speaking to them as staff members.
- On that note, your respect should not stop at staff. It is expected that you will respect everyone and anyone that graces this site's main page. Even if they're an arrogant spam-happy guest, you should respect them in every aspect. So, there will be no insulting, yelling or even implying ill-will toward anyone else... ever. Not just members of the site but guests as well. The last thing I want is you guys to scare away potential members.
- But, disagreements happen. I know you won't get along with everyone you meet, that is understandable. But there will be no fighting between players. If you really must voice your opinion about someone, talk it out over pms. There is to be no fighting or arguments on the forums. In fact, there really should be no fighting at all, but I understand that sometimes, people get on your nerves. But do try and keep things civilized. Blatant insulting and offensively attacking another player will get you banned almost instantly.
- Be aware that this site is rated PG-13 to R and even beyond in some cases, though OOC transactions should be kept relatively mild for the simple sake of manners. So, little kiddies should be well aware of the things that can and probably will happen here, though again the nasty stuff is on;y for In-Character happenings.
- So, this means there is to be no excessive sex talk publicly on the boards. You may plan for certain explicit rps if you wish, that's fine. You can even discuss genitalia and reproductive activities but the difference between this and "sex talk" is the detail. Do not go into gross and potentially offensive detail in these discussions. If you really must talk about something explicit with someone, please take to AIM or pms. This is also applies to imaging. This is not a porno site.

- Just to be sure this is not over-looked, this site is rated PG-13 and up. There will be violence, there will be sexual themes, there will be adult content. Things are more fun that way. While OOC transactions should be relatively clean, IC, anything goes. Violence and gore are a given, sexual themes and situations have the green light. You have been warned.
- But, just to be sure no one accidentally sees what they shouldn't, all mature threads must have a warning in it. This means that every thread involving excessive violence and detailed gore as well as anything even remotely sexual should have the word "Mature" or a letter "M" in the title somewhere, as well as a blatantly obvious warning within the thread itself. It could be at the beginning of the opening post or, preferably, a separate post in itself where (in big, preferably colored letters) you state there is nasty stuff up ahead. But there must be a warning in the thread as well as in the title, just in case the title is too long for the warning to be seen.
- As always, there will be no power-playing. If you do not know what that is, there is an FAQ for you to skim through that will explain it. It is very important that you understand what power-playing/god-modding is and that you avoid doing it at all costs. It is most annoying when trying to rp fairly with fellow members. Plus, if you do it too often, people won't want to play with you anymore. So just don't do it...
- There isn't really a minimum post length, but we the staff do expect you to put some effort into your posts. Meaning, they should be more than like half a sentence long. We do understand that the truest form of this game requires little writing but, since this isn't a table top rp anymore, we do expect you to try and stretch yourself a little. Just don't half ass it, okay?
- And please please please use the spell check. It is there for a reason folks. Sure, we're not expecting your posts to be perfect examples of standard written English but they should be spelled correctly.
- Not just spelled correctly. We expect you to re-read your posts before you send them, to go back and fix incorrect grammar and what not. Again, we're not too stingy about this sort of thing but do make an attempt. It is awfully confusing when words get mixed up or when a post is all strung together in one freakishly huge paragraph. Though we won't jump down your throat about these things, you will be punished for numerous infractions so do not take my informality as reason to ignore these rules.
- There is to be no spamming of any boards.... except the Lounge. You can do what you want there. However, I do not want to see you replying to every thread everywhere with random stupid, pointlessly annoying messages. Your post count will be lowered, your character's rank with be dropped and you will be given a warning. Spamming is annoying. So stay on topic when you reply to threads...
- This site is rated for all skill levels of role-playing, from total noobish-novice all the way to the most advanced players. So, do not be intimidated by some of the more skilled members. Everyone is welcome here.
Character Creation Conduct:
- I'm sure you are aware by now, but this site is entirely based off of Werewolf: The Apocalypse, a table top role-playing game created by White Wolf Inc. If you do not know about it, don't worry, there is plenty of information here to get you started. But, this also means you will have to do some reading before you can get started, just so you know how everything works here. And remember, never be a afraid to ask questions.
- Of course, since this site is based off of a particular universe and gaming style, you're going to have to use the bio form provided. It might look long and intimidating but trust me, it isn't. But a lot of those traits and attributes are what determine the outcomes of fights and help other players to determine certain courses of action. So, you will be needing them.
- It is also wise to read the Character Creation Guide before you create your character. It explains what everything means and how it will affect game play and such. If you still have some questions though, I constantly keep saying, don't be afraid to ask for help. We're really nice people here, honest.
- It'd be nice if you could continuously update your character's bios as things happen to them. Characters may gain ranks or willpower points and such as they rp and it'd be really useful if you could keep their information updated. But don't stress over it... and don't bump the bio unless the changes you make are extremely important, like a death of a family member or the birth of offspring or something major.
- Each character should have their own separate thread. Do not create massive join threads with like eight character bios in them. You may have a thread that lists all your characters and has links to their bios but do not post all the bios in one thread.
- As well as having their own threads, your characters must each have their own separate account. You can, and probably should, make one main account that acts as like "the player's" account which you can use to post for every single one of your characters if you hate switching between character accounts. However, every time you make a character, that character must have an account created for them as well, even if you never post with it. Just keeps stats and things more organized that way...
- You do not have to wait for staff to accept your character before role-playing. But that doesn't mean we won't be checking your character bios as they're created. So, staff can and will ask you to change things and there should be no arguments about that. Negotiations, yes, but no outright refusal or arguing. That can get you banned, if you're not careful.
- This rp takes place in the 21st century, probably some time in the future as opposed to our present. Which means, your characters can and probably should possess guns, knives, cars, pets and so on. But be careful! Lupus garou do not know how to use guns or drive at creation so it's unlikely they would have a submachine gun or a Ferrari. Just be sure you know what your character can and can't do, what is needed for certain things and what isn't. A garou with pathetic animal ken probably shouldn't be living with a huge pack of dogs.
- Though you have to use the bio form provided, you can and are more than welcome to add stuff to it. So, if you want to add stuff about your Garou's family, about any ailments they might have and so on, feel free to. In fact, it's encouraged that you do more than what is given in the bio. Just be sure to include the first section of the bio, since that is the important part.
- Do not worry too much about werewolves and all that. Your character can be almost any species of supernatural being, as well as any mortal creature. We strongly encourage the creation of normal wolves and humans as they are a very important part of Garou society, as well as Black Spiral Dancers (evil deformed werewolves), vampires, mages, werewolf hunters, spirits and so on. It is requested that you stay away from angels and demons and creatures like that because they are, in truthfulness, based on the biblical ideas of heaven and hell and, in Werewolf: the Apocalypse, those ideas don't exist outside of mortal religion (the game is based on the ideas found in animism, of spirits and a spirit realm and such). However, creatures possessed by the Wyrm are almost like demons and spirits can sometimes be almost like angels... just don't call them angels and demons.
- Do be aware though, you must use that bio form for every character created on this site. It's not only for werewolves. Notice that you will have to change somethings to fit your character's species but the attributes and abilities are still the same.
- It is encouraged that you find/create a picture for your character. However, do not use any images that do not belong to you unless you have previously gained permission from the artist. I cannot stress this enough. To use images that are not yours is something called Art Theft, which is not only extremely disrespectful to the original artist of the image but is also thoroughly against proboards regulations and against the law. This site could be shut down and you could be thrown in jail if you're caught with an image that isn't yours. So, stick to coloring templates or, if you must, you can request an image from one of the many artists here on the site.
